Global Study Projects Infertility to Affect 80 Million Women Over 35 by 2036, Becoming a Public Health Issue

A new global study published in *The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Women's Health* estimates that nearly 80 million women aged 35 to 49 worldwide could experience infertility by 2036, a substantial increase from 53.6 million in 2023. The research, drawing on data from 204 countries, highlights that female infertility, particularly among older women, is rapidly becoming a public health issue driven by demographic shifts, delayed motherhood, and changing lifestyles.
