Combination Therapy Shows Significant Efficacy in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia Trial

A Phase 3 clinical trial demonstrated that a combination of pirtobrutinib, venetoclax, and rituximab reduced chronic lymphocytic leukemia progression by 45% compared to venetoclax-rituximab alone. These findings, published in The Lancet, represent the first randomized Phase 3 evidence for this novel combination. The results could influence future treatment sequencing for CLL patients, especially those previously treated with a covalent BTK inhibitor.
