Most Pregnant Women and Parents Prefer Maternal RSV Vaccine Over Infant Antibody Shot

A national survey published in JAMA Network Open reveals that most pregnant women and parents of young children prefer the maternal respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccination during pregnancy as the primary method to protect their child against RSV. Among eligible mothers-to-be, 55.5% favored the maternal vaccine, while only 6.2% preferred the infant monoclonal antibody injection. This research highlights public preference for vaccination strategies in preventing RSV.
