Uganda Declares End to Latest Ebola Outbreak
Uganda's health minister has officially declared the country free of its latest Ebola outbreak. The announcement follows the successful completion of the mandatory 42-day monitoring period after the last locally transmitted patient was discharged on June 16, 2026. The outbreak, which began in mid-May, infected 20 people and resulted in two deaths.
