WHO Report Details Progress and Gaps in Global HIV, Hepatitis, and STI Strategies

The World Health Organization (WHO) released a report on its 2022–2030 Global Health Sector Strategies for HIV, viral hepatitis, and STIs. The report notes significant achievements, including 32 million people receiving HIV treatment by late 2025 and reduced new infections. However, it also highlights persistent challenges like 9 million people still lacking HIV treatment, rising STI incidence, and insufficient funding and surveillance, emphasizing the need for continued effort.
