BenQ America Recalls Portable Projectors Due to Fire and Burn Risk

BenQ America has initiated a recall of approximately 1,249 GV31 portable projectors in the U.S., with an additional 240 units in Canada, due to a lithium-ion battery defect. The batteries can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. The company has received three reports of overheating, including one incident resulting in hand burns. Consumers are advised to stop using the projectors immediately and contact BenQ for a free battery repair or a replacement device.
