Michigan health officials have reported two deaths among cyclosporiasis cases in the state. Both individuals had significant underlying health conditions that may have been complicated by the parasitic infection and dehydration. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has counted 11,234 cases as of August 3, 2026, with 193 hospitalizations.
