Altimmune Begins Phase 3 Trial for Pemvidutide in MASH Treatment

Altimmune has started enrolling patients for its global Phase 3 PERFORMA trial of pemvidutide, a drug for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). This registrational study follows positive Phase 2b results and aims to evaluate the drug's effectiveness in improving fibrosis and resolving MASH, potentially advancing a new treatment option for the condition.
