China's NMPA Approves Yochanra® as First Drug to Overcome FGFR Inhibitor Resistance in Cholangiocarcinoma

China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has granted approval for Yochanra®, an innovative drug developed by TransThera Sciences. This marks the first drug independently developed in China to address acquired resistance to FGFR inhibitor therapy in patients with cholangiocarcinoma, a type of bile duct cancer. The drug had previously received Fast Track and Orphan Drug Designations from the U.S. FDA and Orphan Drug Designation from the European Medicines Agency (EMA). The approval is based on a pivotal Phase II clinical trial conducted in China.
