Study Shows Radionuclide Therapy Delays Advanced Prostate Cancer Progression

A Phase 3 clinical trial, published in The Lancet, demonstrated that earlier use of lutetium PSMA 617 (177Lu-PSMA-617) significantly delays metastatic prostate cancer progression when combined with standard therapy. These findings led to FDA approval in late July and are expected to change the standard of care for many patients with PSMA-positive metastatic prostate cancer, offering improved outcomes.
