Air Quality Health Advisory Issued for New York City Metro Region Due to Ozone

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Department of Health issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for Saturday, August 8, 2026, for ozone in the New York City Metro region, effective from 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. Individuals with respiratory conditions, young children, the elderly, and those exercising outdoors are advised to limit strenuous outdoor physical activity.
