Results from the Phase 3 ISLEND-1 trial indicate that a new investigational once-weekly oral regimen combining islatravir and lenacapavir effectively maintained viral suppression in adults living with HIV who switched from daily treatments. The study found the weekly treatment to be non-inferior to Biktarvy, a standard daily HIV treatment, at 48 weeks, potentially offering a more convenient option for patients.
