No Ebola Cases Detected on Quarantined River Boat in Congo, Easing Concerns

Health authorities in Congo have confirmed that no Ebola cases were detected among over 200 passengers on a river boat quarantined near Kinshasa. This announcement eases concerns that the rare Bundibugyo virus might spread to the capital, following the death of a traveler who had previously been aboard the boat with Ebola-like symptoms. Congo is currently battling an Ebola outbreak with over 4,200 confirmed cases and 1,900 deaths since May.
