Labcorp Receives FDA Approval for Companion Diagnostic in Advanced Melanoma

Labcorp's PGDx elio® tissue complete CDx has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval as a companion diagnostic. This diagnostic helps identify patients with advanced melanoma who have specific BRAF variants, making them eligible for FDA-approved BRAF and BRAF/MEK inhibitor therapies. This approval aims to improve access to targeted treatment options for advanced melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer.
