WHO Strengthens Vaccine-Preventable Disease Surveillance Workforce in Indonesia

The World Health Organization (WHO) and Indonesia's Ministry of Health have collaborated on a four-day crash course to enhance the workforce's capacity for vaccine-preventable disease (VPD) surveillance. This initiative aims to improve case detection, outbreak investigation, specimen management, and data analysis, addressing ongoing challenges with VPD outbreaks like measles, diphtheria, and pertussis in the country.
