High-Dose Chemotherapy Improves Survival in Primary CNS Lymphoma, Lancet Study Finds

The Lancet has published results from the IELSG43/MATRix Phase III trial, demonstrating that high-dose chemotherapy followed by autologous stem-cell transplantation (HCT-ASCT) significantly improves progression-free and overall survival in patients with primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL). This large randomized trial establishes HCT-ASCT as the preferred consolidation strategy for fit patients who have completed induction treatment.
