Divesiran Shows Positive Clinical Responses in Phase 2 Polycythemia Vera Trial

Topline results from the Phase 2 SANRECO trial indicate that divesiran, an investigational therapy, met its primary endpoint in patients with polycythemia vera (PV). The study, which was randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled, showed that 88% of patients treated with divesiran achieved a response (absence of phlebotomy and maintenance of hematocrit below 45%) compared to 19% with placebo. Divesiran was also well-tolerated with no new safety findings.
