A recent study published in JAMA Network Open found that women with higher body mass index (BMI) trajectories during childhood were less likely to give birth from their mid-20s onward, with this association becoming more pronounced after age 30. While the study observed lower hazards of childbirth, it found little evidence that diagnosed infertility explained this pattern, suggesting a potential connection to the timing of first childbirth.
