Sagimet Biosciences Receives FDA Clearance for Phase 3 Clinical Trial of Denifanstat in Moderate to Severe Acne

Sagimet Biosciences Inc. announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared its Investigational New Drug (IND) application, issuing a 'Study May Proceed' letter for a Phase 3 clinical trial of denifanstat, a fatty acid synthase (FASN) inhibitor, for moderate to severe acne. The trial is expected to begin in the second half of 2026.
