Sagimet Biosciences Receives FDA Clearance for Phase 3 Clinical Trial of Denifanstat in Moderate to Severe Acne

Sagimet Biosciences announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared its Investigational New Drug (IND) application for denifanstat, a fatty acid synthase inhibitor, in moderate to severe acne. The FDA issued a "Study May Proceed" letter, allowing the company to initiate a Phase 3 clinical trial for this treatment.
