WHO Reports Over Four Attacks Per Day on Healthcare in Conflict Zones in 2026
The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported a continued rise in attacks on healthcare facilities, workers, and patients in conflict zones, including Ukraine and Gaza, averaging more than four incidents per day in 2026. Between January and August this year, over 900 attacks resulted in at least 900 deaths and more than 1,400 injuries.
