WHO Reports Over 900 Attacks on Healthcare in Conflict Zones This Year

The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported over 900 attacks on healthcare facilities, workers, and patients in conflict zones, including Ukraine and Gaza, between January and August 2026. These attacks average more than four daily, resulting in at least 900 deaths and over 1,400 injuries. This ongoing crisis severely impacts global health security and access to essential medical care in vulnerable regions.
