WHO Reports Escalating Attacks on Healthcare in Conflict Zones, Averaging Over Four Daily in 2026

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that attacks on healthcare facilities, workers, and patients in conflict zones, including Ukraine and Gaza, have continued to rise in 2026, reaching an average of more than four per day. Between January and August this year, over 900 attacks have been recorded, resulting in at least 900 deaths and more than 1,400 injuries.
