Texas company recalls jalapeño products amid ongoing Salmonella outbreak investigation

NatureBest Precut & Produce LLC has issued a recall for various jalapeño-containing products, including soup mix, pico de gallo, and stuffed mushrooms, which were distributed to retailers in Texas and Louisiana. This action follows a notification from Coast Citrus Distributors regarding jalapeño peppers linked to a multistate Salmonella outbreak. The outbreak is currently under investigation by the FDA and CDC, with 345 reported cases across 27 states.
