A multicenter trial, PRO B, published in JAMA Oncology, found that weekly electronic patient-reported outcome (ePRO) monitoring with alert-based clinical response significantly reduced fatigue and improved physical functioning in patients with metastatic breast cancer compared to usual care. The intervention also showed potential system-level benefits, including fewer hospitalizations and emergency department visits.
