HHS Awards Over $96 Million to Enhance Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), announced $96.7 million in grants and cooperative agreements. These funds aim to strengthen behavioral health services and supports nationwide, including initiatives for individuals with serious mental illness experiencing homelessness, suicide prevention, early intervention, substance use disorder treatment, and peer support.
