Gaza's Healthcare System Faces Worsening Collapse, Especially in Displacement Camps

Gaza's healthcare system is experiencing a worsening collapse, with the most severe impacts observed in displacement camps where hundreds of thousands of people reside. Essential medical services, including lab tests, surgeries, and treatments, are largely unavailable due to a critical lack of supplies and medical personnel. The destruction of medical facilities and the widespread displacement of residents have transformed access to healthcare into a privilege rather than a fundamental right. Currently, only 2,200 inpatient beds are available to serve a population of 2 million people across the Gaza Strip.
