Phase 2 Study Shows Positive Results for Alixorexton in Narcolepsy Type 1

Alkermes plc announced that The Lancet Neurology published positive Phase 2 data for alixorexton, an investigational oral selective orexin 2 receptor agonist, in adults with narcolepsy type 1. The Vibrance-1 study demonstrated statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvements in wakefulness and cataplexy, along with positive patient-reported outcomes for fatigue and cognition. The drug was generally well tolerated, indicating potential for a new treatment option.
