Individualized mRNA Melanoma Vaccine Shows Positive Phase 3 Trial Results
Merck and Moderna's individualized mRNA melanoma vaccine, intismeran autogene, combined with Keytruda, achieved positive Phase 3 trial results. The INTerpath-001 study met its primary endpoint of recurrence-free survival and a key secondary endpoint, showing clinically meaningful improvement over Keytruda alone in resected Stage IIB-IV melanoma. This marks the first successful Phase 3 readout for an individualized neoantigen therapy and an mRNA-based cancer treatment.
