FDA approves first specific treatment for rare blood disorder wAIHA

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved Johnson & Johnson's IMAAVY (nipocalimab-aahu) for warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia (wAIHA) in adults and pediatric patients aged 12 and older. This marks the first therapy specifically proven safe and effective for wAIHA, a rare and life-threatening autoantibody disease. The approval, based on a pivotal Phase 2/3 study, offers a new treatment option for patients with this condition.
