Baxter International Inc. has issued a nationwide recall for one lot of its 70% Dextrose Injection, USP, in 2000 mL VIAFLEX Plastic Containers. The recall is due to the potential presence of stainless steel particulate matter, which, if administered intravenously, could lead to severe health consequences such as blood vessel blockage, organ damage, or death.
