Sacubitril/Valsartan improves cardiac structure but not functional capacity in nHCM trial

A phase II international trial of sacubitril/valsartan (LCZ696) for nonobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (nHCM) demonstrated favorable cardiac structural remodeling. However, the study found no significant improvement in functional capacity, as measured by peak oxygen uptake, compared to placebo after 50 weeks, providing mixed efficacy data for the drug in nHCM.
