Study Links Drug Resistance to Higher Hospital Deaths in Asia

A new study in The Lancet Infectious Diseases suggests drug resistance may cause twice as many severe hospital infection deaths in Asia than previously estimated. The research, which tracked 10,000 patients across 19 Asian countries, found nearly three-quarters of hospital infections involved drug-resistant bacteria, highlighting a significant public health challenge.
