Kazia Therapeutics announced promising early-stage trial data for paxalisib in advanced Stage IV triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), achieving a 100% clinical benefit rate in six evaluable patients. Five patients showed an objective response, including one complete response, with no serious adverse events related to the drug. Translational analyses also indicated improved immune function and reduced circulating tumor cell clusters, suggesting potential for this difficult-to-treat cancer.
