A large international study has found that younger adults diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer are significantly more likely than older patients to possess tumors with genetic mutations that can be effectively treated with targeted therapies. This research, based on genomic and immune data from over 14,000 patients, suggests that nearly 58% of younger patients have guideline-recommended actionable mutations.
