FDA Approves Therapies for Dermatomyositis, HIV, and Expanded Mounjaro Use

The FDA has approved several new treatments, including Lisraya (brepocitinib) as the first targeted therapy for adult dermatomyositis. Bixlenvo (bictegravir/lenacapavir) was approved as the smallest once-daily single tablet regimen for virologically suppressed adults with HIV. Additionally, Mounjaro (tirzepatide) received expanded approval to reduce major adverse cardiovascular events in high-risk adults with type 2 diabetes. These approvals offer new or improved options for managing significant health conditions.
