FDA Approves New Therapies for Type 2 Diabetes, Dermatomyositis, and HIV

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved several new treatments, including Mounjaro (tirzepatide) to reduce major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with high-risk type 2 diabetes, Lisraya (brepocitinib) as the first targeted oral therapy for adults with dermatomyositis, and Bixlenvo (bictegravir/lenacapavir) as a once-daily single-tablet regimen for virologically suppressed adults with HIV.
