The full peer-reviewed article detailing the neuroprotective effects of ivermectin on an Alzheimer's model induced by streptozotocin in rats is now fully available. The study, published in Neurodegenerative Disease Management, suggests that ivermectin reduced histopathological changes, including pyknotic and dead neurons and the accumulation of Aβ plaques, and improved learning and spatial memory in the rat model.
