DENEB Blood Test Demonstrates High Accuracy in Detecting Early Colorectal Cancer and Precancerous Polyps

An experimental, non-invasive blood test named DENEB has shown promising results in detecting precancerous polyps and early-stage colorectal cancer. A multicenter diagnostic study, published in The Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology, found that the DENEB test detected 92% of stage I–III colorectal cancers and 81% of advanced adenomas (precancerous polyps). While more research is needed before routine screening recommendations, this development offers a potentially simpler alternative to traditional screening methods like colonoscopy.
