Sanford Health and North Memorial Health Merger Proceeds with 10-Year State Oversight
The proposed acquisition of North Memorial Health by Sanford Health has been approved to move forward under a legally enforceable 10-year agreement. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced the agreement, which aims to protect hospital services, workers, and patients. The agreement ensures the maintenance of Robbinsdale Hospital's Level 1 trauma center and cancer center for at least a decade, along with other core services like emergency, cardiac, labor and delivery, intensive care, stroke care, acute rehabilitation, and mental health services.
