FDA Approves First Targeted RAS Inhibitor, Daraxonrasib, for Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer

The FDA has approved daraxonrasib, an oral multi-selective RAS(ON) inhibitor, for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma. This marks the first targeted therapy to inhibit the RAS pathway in pancreatic cancer, a mutation present in over 90% of patients. The approval, based on the RASolute 302 trial, showed a nearly doubled median overall survival, representing a significant advance for patients facing this devastating disease.
