Baxter International Recalls IV Saline Lots Due to Potential Fiberglass Contamination

Baxter International Inc. is recalling two lots of its 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, 1000mL, due to the possible presence of fiberglass particulate matter in the solution. Intravenous administration of solutions containing fiberglass could lead to serious adverse health consequences, including blockage and clotting of blood vessels, organ damage, or death. The recalled lots were distributed between July 31 and August 3, 2026.
