North Carolina Issues Rabies Exposure Alert from Mobile Petting Zoo Goats

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) has issued a public health alert regarding potential human exposure to rabies from baby goats at a mobile petting zoo in Iredell County. Three goats were confirmed rabid after likely exposure to a skunk. Individuals who had contact with baby goats from "Farm Adventures" between July 28 and August 27, 2026, are advised to contact their local health department to assess the need for post-exposure prophylaxis.
