Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Repair Significantly Improves Outcomes in Severe Tricuspid Regurgitation

New research presented at ESC Congress 2026 and simultaneously published in the New England Journal of Medicine indicates that transcatheter tricuspid valve repair significantly improved clinical outcomes, including reducing death and heart failure hospitalizations, in high-risk patients with severe tricuspid regurgitation compared to medical therapy alone. This intervention is shown to be an effective disease-modifying therapy.
