New Clinical Trial Results Offer Insights into Structural Heart Disease and Heart Failure Treatment

Three late-breaking trials (TAVI PCI, ACASA-TAVI, and TRIC-I-HF) presented at the ESC Congress 2026 and simultaneously published in The New England Journal of Medicine provide new evidence for managing structural heart disease and heart failure. Findings include the noninferiority of TAVI before PCI for severe aortic stenosis and coronary artery disease, and the superiority of transcatheter tricuspid-valve repair plus medical therapy for symptomatic severe tricuspid regurgitation.
