Plozasiran Shows Significant Reduction in Triglycerides and Acute Pancreatitis in Phase 3 Trials

Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals presented results from the pivotal Phase 3 SHASTA-3 and SHASTA-4 studies of plozasiran at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2026. The studies met their primary and all prespecified secondary endpoints, demonstrating deep and durable reductions in triglycerides (79% and 81% respectively) and a 78% reduction in acute pancreatitis events in adults with severe hypertriglyceridemia.
