Ebola Outbreak Expands in DRC; CDC Updates Measles Case Counts in US

The Ebola Bundibugyo outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has spread to 60 health zones, becoming the second-largest Ebola outbreak on record. Concurrently, the CDC updated its measles cases and outbreaks page on August 30, reporting 2,903 confirmed cases in the United States for 2026 as of August 27, with 37 new outbreaks identified this year.
