Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Repair Reduces Mortality and Hospitalization in Heart Failure Patients

The TRIC-I-HF trial, presented at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026, demonstrated that transcatheter tricuspid valve repair (TTVR) added to medical therapy significantly decreased the likelihood of death and hospitalization for heart failure (HF) and improved quality of life in patients with severe tricuspid regurgitation. The study found a 60% relative reduction in the combined primary endpoint of mortality and heart failure hospitalization.
