Amgen's Repatha Reduces Risk of Death in High-Risk Patients Without Prior Heart Attack or Stroke

New findings from a pre-specified analysis of the Phase 3 VESALIUS-CV trial show that Repatha (evolocumab), when added to statins or other LDL-C-lowering treatments, reduced the risk of death in high-risk adults without a prior heart attack or stroke. The study, presented at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2026 and simultaneously published in Circulation, demonstrated a 20% reduction in the risk of dying from all causes.
