HHS Allocates $77 Million for Substance Use and Mental Health Services

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through SAMHSA, has announced $77 million in new grant funding on Overdose Awareness Day. These funds are designated to bolster substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery services, alongside community mental health, suicide prevention, and crisis services nationwide. This initiative aims to strengthen critical public health infrastructure and support vulnerable populations across the country.
